Modern Kitchen Remodel in Durham, NC

BEFORE AND AFTER

The original 1500 sq ft. house was built as a duplex, with each half of the house having a living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. When it was purchased by CQC Home’s owner Ken Combs it was transformed into a modern, beautiful single family home with a show stopping kitchen remodel.

The Process

Taken down to the studs this home received a completely new floor plan, plus a 1000 sq. ft. addition to add on a master suite, mudroom, plus additional bedroom. Located just steps away from Duke’s East Campus, in downtown Durham, this little house was in desperate need of renovation. Ken and the design team at CQC touched every inch of the space.

While the kitchen is mostly white elements it still has a warmth with the medium stained oak floors and a custom range hood to match. The gold touches of the hardware, faucet, and the chandelier in the dining room add another layer of color to the space.

The fridge was set into the wall and surrounded with built-in pantry cabinets.

A true makeover, from worn out to luxury kitchen. It’s hard to believe it was the same house. Click here to see the full remodel.
