Durham, my hometown, is more than just where I’m from—it’s woven into the fabric of who I am. The diverse, warm, and generous community, along with the endless opportunities it offers, are deeply ingrained in my story. I’m committed to giving back, sponsoring activities that make our community even more vibrant. It’s about investing in the place that’s shaped me and contributing to its ongoing story. I am very excited to be a part of the CQC team and thoroughly enjoy working with all of the departments on the different phases of our projects. I started my career in the construction industry over 20 years ago as a laborer, and as my knowledge grew, I progressed through different management positions eventually landing in operations.

I was born and raised in Michigan but have spent time in Texas, California and Japan while in the Marine Corps. My wife and I came to North Carolina in 2007 and chose to call it our home. Our family has grown since then to include our son and 2 yorkies.

My time away from CQC is usually spent between the beach, my son’s sports activities and every once in a while I’m able to sneak in a quick round of golf.

I am incredibly humbled to be a part of the exceptional team at CQC Home, where our unwavering commitment to prioritizing our clients sets us apart. My journey with CQC began in 2017 when I joined as a carpenter. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of evolving within the company, and today, I proudly hold the position of Director of Construction.

Originating from the Midwest, I made North Carolina my home in 2002, with Raleigh Durham capturing my heart. This vibrant community has been the perfect backdrop to raise my family, and the warmth of its people has made every day special. Exploring the diverse landscapes and neighboring areas is a family passion, adding to the richness of our experiences.

With over 35 years in the industry, my love for craftsmanship and dedication to quality construction remain as strong as ever. Although most of my projects now take place within the walls of my own home, I find immense joy and satisfaction in leading my team. The transformations we bring to our clients’ spaces are a constant reminder of the impact thoughtful construction can have on people’s lives.

At CQC, we are driven by the shared goal of turning our clients’ dreams into reality. The genuine passion for our craft, coupled with the experience gained over the years, allows us to approach each project with dedication and expertise. I am excited about the journey ahead, confident in our ability to continue creating spaces that truly resonate with our clients.

Grant is a lifetime native of Raleigh, North Carolina. This is where he met his wife of 21 years and settled down to start a family with two wonderful children. Grant spent 17 years with a nationwide furniture retailer managing design teams and honing his skills in management and customer relations. Developing people and teams has always been his strong suit and he took this into the real estate industry by obtaining a real estate license, assembling a team of skilled trades, and starting his own home renovation business after his career in furniture. Throughout his career in construction he has worked with commercial construction contractors as well as holding the Director of Operations position for a local real estate investing firm where he renovated, flipped and sold properties across North and South Carolina. He is excited to bring his skills and experience to CQC Home to lead an already successful, and talented team of designers, architects and draftsmen. In his free time you can find him cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes with his family, in the gym, on the Jiu Jitsu mats or behind a camera wandering through nature.

I was born and raised in downtown Durham, and I have been fortunate to witness the transformation of my beloved hometown. I believe that the people and the diversity of Durham are the main reasons that the Triangle is such a wonderful place to live!

My loving wife of 13 years and I have adopted two children, who are full of energy and joy, and being their father brings me the most joy in my life. 

I co-owned a landscaping company for 10 years, where I prioritized the needs and desires of my clients in their home improvement projects.

Working at CQC Home has provided me with the opportunity to enjoy my passion of working with honest, talented people and to see the job process from beginning to end. There is such joy and personal satisfaction in taking a dysfunctional space and transforming it into our client’s favorite new room or space. 

I was born and raised in Long Island, New York. I began learning the construction industry, with carpentry as my main focus after graduation. We lived in New York for the majority of my life, before my family relocated to North Carolina. I’ve been back and forth between the two since. Much of my family lives up and down the East Coast, allowing for many travel opportunities.

When I joined the CQC team, I started as a carpenter’s assistant. I have graduated to a superintendent in training this year, with the continuing education to be a lead superintendent. I am excited to be part of the CQC team, once you are a part of the CQC team, it’s like a brotherhood. The guys I work with are truly part of my family. I am excited to continue to learn and grow in remodeling with this company. They have provided a lot of opportunities to continue to move up in my career.

I’m very proud of my family and where I am in life despite what I’ve been through. My uniqueness is overcoming any situation I run into and never giving up.

A special experience that involved work was being part of a job that had a tight deadline and a successful finish.

Even when I leave work I feel the need to work at home around the house most days too before it gets dark.

I’m a hard worker. I enjoy my job and I look forward to advancement and many years to come working for CQC.

I am a native of upstate New York, where I was surrounded by country lands and farms.  I moved from up North in 1995 and made my home in Durham.  Growing up in a country land setting I learned to love the outdoors and enjoy biking and kayaking.  The area of Durham has so much diversity and I am able to enjoy the best of both worlds with city and county at my fingertips.   

As a dedicated and detail-oriented accounting bookkeeper professional, I have been meeting the accounting needs of corporations and individuals for the past 20 years.  I must say working at CQC Home has been the most rewarding job and I enjoy developing good client relationships to build trust, with honesty and commitment.  I look forward to continuing building relationships at CQC Home and serving our community and clients.

With a keen eye for detail, my responsibilities include overseeing the overall financial data, ledger entries, and client reports.  I am highly motivated and set myself to high standards.  To work as a bookkeeper at CQC Home, seems to me to be a very fulfilling and rewarding role to play. 

My name is Natalia Weisenfeld. I come from Peru, specifically from the city of Yurimaguas in the Loreto region of the Amazon. I now reside in Durham, North Carolina, with my husband, and my family remains in Peru.

After getting married in 2010, I moved to Washington, DC, with my husband, where we stayed for almost four years. We were blessed with a wonderful daughter (my stepdaughter) who is pursuing her doctorate in Physical Therapy (Class of 2024) in Newark, Delaware.

After my husband retired from his 22-year career as a Diplomat in the foreign service, we moved to Chapel Hill, NC, before settling in Durham in 2015. Although I initially missed Washington, DC, I have grown fond of North Carolina and have even designed two houses in Durham, including the latest one.

Before moving to North Carolina, I worked in finance in Washington, DC. However, I discovered my true passion for interior design and decided to pursue a career in it. I earned my degrees in Interior Design at Wake Tech and Meredith College, respectively, and I am so excited to put into practice all I learned as an interior designer at CQC Home, one of the best remodeling companies in the Triangle.

When I am not designing or improving living spaces, I enjoy doing crafts, spending time with family and friends, and traveling with my husband. We have visited many countries, including most recently Egypt, which I found incredibly fascinating.

Lastly, it would make me incredibly happy to build a new house for my parents in Pucallpa, Peru, and continue to improve the lives of those around me through improving their spaces.

I was born and raised in Kinston, NC to immigrant parents from Mexico. My interest in design began in high school, where I was first introduced to the field of design. I was hooked immediately and decided to pursue it as a career. I thus attended East Carolina University, where I received my B.S. in Design with a
concentration in Architectural Technology.

Being part of the design team, I’m able to design a space that has the right function and feel needed to be a perfect fit. Our clients are involved in every step of the process, and it is our goal to make our clients’ dreams come true. It is truly a joy to see how our work has impacted our clients’ lives for the better.

I am very happy to be a part of this talented team. Combined, we have decades of valuable experience that we share and put into action on a daily basis. I’m fortunate to work alongside this skilled and experienced CQC Home team, and I hope to continue serving our community in a positive way for years to come.

I am a native of Tennessee, where I was surrounded by country lands and farms and where I found a passion for building things early in life. I moved from Tennessee about 40 years ago and made my home in Durham. I enjoy working with my hands and have been in the carpentry business for at least 40 years now, woodworking came naturally. I enjoy building, creating, and designing different projects, and working with CQC Home I can participate in it all. I take my time in everything I do, and I pay special attention to detail. I am a family man at heart and have been married to my beautiful wife for many years. We have three kids and nine wonderful grandkids that I try to spend time with as much as possible. I enjoy spending time with my family and on my time off I try to get as much quality time as I can. When I am not working or spending time with my family, I do enjoy working in my garden and fishing. I must say working at CQC Home has been the most rewarding job and I enjoy developing good client relationships to build trust, with honesty and commitment. My hope is that through my carpentry, I can build something for our clients to cherish for years to come.

As a carpenter and job site foreman, I get the pleasure of improving my carpentry skills as well as being hands-on in every aspect of every build! Excellent customer service is what I strive for on a day-to-day basis.

Renovating homes for myself and for clients over the last 12years has proven that communication is the key to success in any aspect of a build.

I now have the pleasure of teaching that to my 6yr old son who wants to know every part of a renovation.

In professional and personal environments, my M.O. is animated, enthusiastic, and always striving to design the unique.

My favorite thing to create, in interior design, is reactions; delivering the client what they ask for isn’t enough.  I know I’ve achieved good design when lines on paper, representing a handful of thoughtfully placed walls, doorways, and cabinetry, can create feelings of giddiness and excitement for the recipient.

After receiving my BFA in Interior Architecture [CIDA] from University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2015, I continued my education in the field; learning by leading. I’ve directed high end residential projects from plan phase through to completion; working in collaboration with clients, contractors, tradespersons, material vendors, and fellow designers.

I’ve since added 3D Modeling to my toolset, allowing me to create photo-real images, videos, and immersive VR experiences, for clients to navigate their designs before any physical changes are ever made.

Some of my home hobbies include weekend long video game marathons, making a mess of a shared art space, and spending money on flea market furniture I don’t have space for.

I’m an Ohio native, born and raised in the heart of the Midwest. I’m still exploring and familiarizing myself with the East Coast as I now proudly call North Carolina my home. My upbringing was closely tied to the world of construction, thanks to my father who built a construction company that started from simple handyman gigs. As his son, I was introduced to construction from a young age – as soon as I was strong enough to lend a hand, I was right there beside him. This began for me around the time I was in sixth grade.

Joining CQC Home has brought a new chapter of excitement to my journey. The company’s commitment to its mission and values aligns perfectly with my aspirations. The opportunity to be a part of a highly skilled team that shares my passion for tangibly improving the lives of others is something I’m genuinely thrilled about. As a bonus, the culture here is nothing short of awesome. It’s a vibrant blend of collaboration and genuine camaraderie that sets the tone for every day.

When I’m not dedicating myself to the wonderful team at CQC Home, you can most likely find me on the pickleball courts at Ephesus Park. During my free time, I enjoy engaging in this dynamic sport and the community of players. Just please don’t hit it to my backhand!

“As a native North Carolinian, I was raised in the outskirts of Charlotte and grew up doing anything and everything artistic. This love for art and design is what initially drew me to interior design so I moved to Raleigh where I attended Meredith College. When I graduated with a B.S. in Interior Design, I decided to stay after falling in love with the Raleigh area. Getting to be creative with all the different styles is one of my favorite things about my job along with making others’ dream homes a reality! I am thrilled that I get to be part of the CQC team and work with clients from all over the triangle.

When I’m not working you can find me either reading a good book or traveling with friends and family. Exploring new places is one of my favorite things to do. I would love to one day travel through all of Eastern Europe to experience all the different cultures, landscapes, & architecture (of course!)”

My name is Nathan Norstrud, and I am an 18-year-old recent high school graduate. I am thrilled to have been offered an incredible opportunity to work for CQC Home, a reputable remodeling company. What makes this opportunity even more special is the fact that my dad is a part of the company, and I get to
learn and work beside him each day.

With my passion for construction and my eagerness to learn, I am excited to join the team and contribute my skills to transforming homes. I am committed to delivering exceptional results, paying attention to every detail, and ensuring that each project reflects the highest standards of quality. As I embark on this new chapter in my life, I am determined to grow both personally and professionally in the field of home remodeling.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, I have had the pleasure of spending my time in Durham, NC since 2013. While in high school, I discovered architectural engineering through its engineering club. From there, I studied Architectural Engineering Technology at the University of Hartford and completed my Associate’s degree at Durham Tech.

Though my architectural path may not have been linear, I have found myself in very enriching opportunities within the industry that have strengthened my knowledge of design along the way. I have been fortunate to work within the architectural products industry as well as under licensed architects and have since experienced architecture from a production and design perspective. All of these experiences have led me to CQC Home where I am gaining and implementing my design-construction knowledge.

At CQC Home, I work alongside very skilled and experienced professionals and hope to continue my education within architecture so that I can serve my community as I mature. My goal at CQC Home is to design welcoming and inspiring spaces that give clients confidence in their remodeling dreams.

I was born and raised in Georgia, to a family of construction workers. I grew up working my summers for my Father and Grandfather’s grading company. Immediately out of high school, I joined the Army, my first duty station being Ft. Bragg, where I spent the next 15 years as an engineer.

Following my retirement from the Army, I settled in NC where I immediately returned to the construction industry fulfilling roles in Project management and Operations. In each new endeavor, I strive in environments fostering learning and exploration of new techniques as I support my customers with their projects.

My time away from CQC is usually spent with my two sons, camping, and traveling to explore new areas.

My name is Margarita. I was born and raised in Russia, where my passion for design first took root. Armed with a Master’s degree in Architecture and Design, I embarked on a journey that led me through various facets of the design world.

Beginning my career as a landscape designer, I then transitioned to kitchen design before discovering my true calling in residential design. Over the years, I had the privilege of working on high-end projects, bringing unique interiors to life from the initial planning stages to the final touches.

Four years ago, I embraced a new chapter in my life by moving to the United States, following my husband on his career path as a software engineer. During our time in the San Francisco Bay Area, I had the opportunity to work on amazing projects and further honed my skills by successfully completing the UC Berkeley Extension Kitchen&Bathroom Design course.

During a trip to North Carolina, the region’s charm seized our hearts. Now, we happily declare this place as our home, savoring the warmth of the community and the allure of the landscape.

As a designer, I firmly believe that thoughtful and timeless interiors have the power to elevate the human spirit. My inspiration comes from my clients and their homes, and I see no greater joy than enhancing people’s lives by transforming their living spaces.

My name is Craig Clair and I am a Project Manager at CQC Home. I am a born and raised Michigander with my roots now planted in the North Carolina Triangle. My wife and I longed to live in this beautiful state for many years and finally took the plunge with no regrets.

There was never a doubt in my mind what my career path was going to be. I have a passion for all things building and construction, including a love for the tools (especially anything Milwaukee!). In high school, I started out in building trades, transitioned to rough framing after graduating, and worked my way to owning my own home remodeling company. The 25+ years of experience provides me the opportunity to understand the full scope of a project. The skills I learned that are highly important are troubleshooting on the fly and listening to the clients.

At CQC Home, everyone is treated like family and with respect. It is with great pleasure that I get to combine my expertise with the vast knowledge my colleagues offer; thus, ensuring that our clients receive top notch services.

Most of my time away from work is spent playing games and hanging out with my three children and wife. I also enjoy woodworking, watching movies, and reading.

I was born and raised in Kensington Connecticut but knew I belonged in North Carolina from the age of 12.  I moved to Angier, North Carolina in the spring of 2001 after a short time living in Pennsylvania. After living in Angier briefly, I moved to Raleigh and ultimately bought a house in Northern Durham County with my family. I received my degree and certification in Computer Aided Drafting Design Engineering Technology while living in Connecticut as well as the Nurserymen’s Association Certification.  I have worked as a kitchen and bath designer, interior and exterior designer, landscape designer and have installed kitchens all over the country. I finally landed in residential remodeling here at CQC Home.

I have worked for and with CQC Home since 2013 and there is no better place to work.  I absolutely love designing clients’ dreams and enjoy seeing their faces when the renders I have created come alive better than the drawings they had already fallen in love with. I really enjoy helping clients figure out what they like and how to improve their lives through their most valued asset…their home. When you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work!

I was born and raised on the water in Maryland, the son of a custom home builder. My journey in the construction industry began at a young age, working extensively in carpentry before heading to Towson State University, where I earned my degree. After college, I managed mortgage offices across the Midwest, including in Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming, before eventually settling in Myrtle Beach. During my 12 years in the South, I owned a residential appraisal company and explored various business ventures that opened doors along the way.

Now, it’s a true pleasure to be part of CQC Home, where I get to apply the best of my professional experiences to create stunning living spaces for our clients. I genuinely enjoy the collaborative process of turning visions into beautiful realities.

When I’m not at work, my passion lies at home with my family and dogs. We are avid supporters of dog rescue, and when I have some extra time, you’ll likely find me in the gym, powerlifting.

Jared was raised in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate NY. From a young age, he worked with his father remodeling homes. Jared went to college at Paul Smith’s College for Ecology & Environmental Technology, eventually earning his BS in Biology. After working as an Aquatic Biologist for a few years in the panhandle of Florida, Jared joined the United States Marine Corps. He served as a Logistics officer on multiple tours in Afghanistan and aboard Navy vessels. After exiting active duty in 2019 Jared has done construction full time and continued to serve his country in the reserves. Jared has excelled in both commercial and residential construction. When not at work he spends his time with his bride, two daughters, and rescue mut. They are very active in their church, playing sports, camping, and hobby farming.      

Raised just outside the Triangle area, my passion for construction and design began as a teen watching my parents renovate their 1930s home. This interest led me to Western Carolina University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. In college, I participated and organized student volunteers for Habitat for Humanity build days through the Construction Management Club, a role that allowed me to give back to the community. My career has spanned roles in project controls within commercial and industrial construction, and I’m excited to bring my experience full circle by working on residential projects.

As an estimator at CQC Home, I work with our design team and trade partners during the design phase to provide accurate pricing for our clients before they embark on their remodeling journey. The reward of seeing new spaces come to life for families is truly fulfilling.

I’m proud to be part of the CQC Home team, collaborating with talented and caring individuals who share my dedication to excellence. Outside of work, I enjoy backpacking, LEGO building, and spending quality time with friends and family.  And of course, spoiling my furry companions!
