I grew up in New York and have lived in many cities across the US, thanks to numerous corporate relocations. When I relocated to Raleigh in 1999, I knew that I had found the right place to put down permanent roots. Raleigh is the perfect blend of small town and growing city. Truly a wonderful place to raise my two daughters. They are now out of college and successfully pursuing their dreams. One is running a sales team for a fintech startup in New York City. The other recently completed her Masters in Equine Genetics and Microbiomes and is working with horse breeders across the country.

I renovated or built all nine homes I lived in, just “for fun”, in addition to working in advertising sales. My professional career in construction and design began six weeks after moving to Raleigh. Hurricane Floyd dropped a tree on the house I had just purchased. I tracked down a guy with a portable sawmill. I had that very tree milled into new flooring for the addition I was planning to build. Due to my creativity and resourcefulness, the contractor offered me a job on the spot. My experience there led me to creating and running my own successful bathroom design and renovation business. My renovated 1928 bungalow in downtown Raleigh is filled with treasures from my travels around the world, reflecting my bohemian-chic style.

I am thrilled to be leading CQC Home’s expansion into Raleigh and providing our clients here with thoughtfully designed, beautifully built remodeling projects that enhance the way they live every day. I enjoy spending time with friends at Raleigh’s great restaurants, attending local cultural events and giving time to the Dix Park Conservancy and Triangle Family Services or traveling. In my spare time, I am always working on least 5 projects- making jewelry, rehabbing a thrift store furniture find, or customizing a pair of jeans for a friend. Whether it is a fabulous new bathroom for a client, or a beaded bracelet I made; I love seeing the results of a project and knowing “I created that”.

I am so excited to be given the opportunity to be a part of CQC Homes. Born and raised in the Midwest, I moved to the east coast 15 years ago. I really enjoy the mountains and the ocean, so this was a great move for me. I started in construction when I was 15 years old. There is nothing more satisfying than working with my hands, and I really enjoy seeing a finished project and making a customer’s dreams come true. On my time off I enjoy being with my family. We try to travel to new places every chance we get. Together, the team at CQC is looking forward to making your dreams come true.

My wife and I just moved to North Carolina from California, where I grew up. I am excited to get to know the city and become part of the community here in Durham. I’ve spent the majority of my career working in construction and remodeling, and the last three years helping build a strong family-run construction business. While it was difficult to move away from those connections, I am looking forward to supporting and learning from CQC Home as a part of their team.

I’ve been building things for my entire life, from furniture to bicycles to off-road vehicles. I am extremely grateful to get to do something I enjoy for a living while also helping people realize the homes they envision. When I am not working, my favorite activities are rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, and backpacking with my dogs. I also enjoy creating usable art objects out of found materials like scrap metal and wood.

I graduated from the University of Alabama “Roll Tide” in 2011, majoring in English. I love the outdoors. Therefore, after graduation, I took some time off. I wanted to explore the world a bit. I moved to the city that never sleeps, New Orleans. It was post-Katrina, I was part of a non-profit rebuilding organization. Serving as an AmeriCorps member; I decided right then, while helping to rebuild the city, that carpentry was a true passion of mine. I spent the majority of the next 3 years helping to rebuild what had been damaged. The “shotgun” houses have some wonderful history to them.

I moved from New Orleans to California. I started attending a local furniture school, the Krenov. Studying in school cemented my passion for fine woodworking. Working on houses and jumping into furniture design gave me an eye for detail. It really helped to refine my carpentry skills. After school, I moved across the coast again. Landing in North Carolina. First, I went to Asheville, I love the mountains. More recently, I moved to Chapel Hill. My girlfriend is getting her masters degree at the University.
Outside of the work I enjoy spending time cooking, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and just being in the great outdoors. Chapel Hill has some really great parks in the area and even has a few times for pick up games. It’s been a great transition moving here and I’m looking forward to using my time at CQC to continue to grow and improve as a carpenter.

I was born in California and moved to North Carolina when I was 2 years old. In middle school I met my now wife, and we have two sons together. I enjoy riding motorcycles, fishing and playing guitar. But most of all, I love spending time with my family.

I started working in construction at the age of 16. Since then, I’ve gained many skills in construction and continue to learn more everyday. I strive to do my absolute best and ensure the job is done right, and look forward to growing with CQC Home for years to come.

I was born and raised in Long Island, New York. I began learning the construction industry, with carpentry as my main focus after graduation. We lived in New York for the majority of my life, before my family relocated to North Carolina. I’ve been back and forth between the two since. Much of my family lives up and down the East Coast, allowing for many travel opportunities.

When I joined the CQC team, I started as a carpenter’s assistant. I have graduated to a superintendent in training this year, with the continuing education to be a lead superintendent. I am excited to be part of the CQC team, once you are a part of the CQC team, it’s like a brotherhood. The guys I work with are truly part of my family. I am excited to continue to learn and grow in remodeling with this company. They have provided a lot of opportunities to continue to move up in my career.

I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend. When we’re not working, we love being at the beach and we also like to travel. My family would say that I am an adrenaline junkie. I recently went skydiving which was an incredible experience. I am also a huge hockey fan. I played a lot growing up, and watch and go to every New York Rangers game I can.

I’m very proud of my family and where I am in life despite what I’ve been through. My uniqueness is overcoming any situation I run into and never giving up.

A special experience that involved work was being part of a job that had a tight deadline and a successful finish.

Even when I leave work I feel the need to work at home around the house must days too before it gets dark.

I’m a hard worker. I enjoy my job and I look forward to advancement and many years to come working for CQC.

I’m originally from Mobile, Alabama. I moved to North Carolina at a very young age to live with my father and grandmother, when my mother passed away. I spent most of my life in Rocky Mount with my family. In 2012 I moved to Durham to attend the Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham . I fell in love with the “bull city” during college and now me and all my pets call it home.

Although I have some construction experience, CQC is the first construction company I’ve been an official employee of. It is also easily the best company I’ve ever worked for. Every team member is friendly, creative, and professional. It’s very refreshing to be excited about work every day. CQC always goes above and beyond for their customers and the quality of their work never ceases to amaze me. It brings me joy to be a part of such a talented team , I hope to learn as much as I can from my peers and to do my best to help push this company forward.

When I’m not working I enjoy spending time writing and illustrating for a comic book I am creating. I also spend alot of my free time playing video games and raising my 7 pets …. yes you read that correctly. Music is another major interest of mine,  I like to collect vinyls and make music with my friends. Eating is probably the thing I’m best at and it’s easily my favorite thing to do; so tell please tell me about all of best food spots.

In the short time that I’ve been with CQC, they’ve done a lot to make me feel like I was a part of a diverse and growing family . It is one of the first jobs I have had where I engage with the CEO daily and he actually seems interested in my life and helping me improve it. I am very grateful to be a part of such a warm family of talented individuals and I hope you consider CQC for your next big project so you can join the family to.

I was born and raised in Hillsborough, NC. Therefore, I am a die-hard fan of this State. I am a Panthers fan, I pull for Duke, and I enjoy the mountains and the beach being so close. I am a family man. My beautiful wife and I have one super daughter. She has blessed our lives with an amazing granddaughter. That little girl has us wrapped around her finger and knows it!

I have worked in carpentry and construction since I was in High School. Let’s not count the years, but it’s over 30 years experience. I have hand built our home we live in; it was a challenge. It truly was a labor of love. But, to know it’s done right and my wife appreciates the level of detail is the greatest joy.

In my spare time I enjoy bass fishing and riding my Harley motorcycle. I am also a grill man. My favorite cut of meat is a sirloin and who can resist ribs!  I enjoy working at CQC Home, the opportunities and freedom that they have given me and my family have been wonderful over the years. I am excited to make your dream home a reality.
