Two Car Garage Transformation to Music Room Remodel

For this garage transformation, we remodeled the existing space into much needed additional living space. The homeowner’s had made the jump into home schooling their children. On top of their now very busy schedules, they also offered one on one music lessons out of their home. This additional space, once remodeled, was going to be perfect.

Garage Transformation Additions

We added exterior French doors where the old car entry doors had been. Installing new exterior sconce lighting. This helped to really brighten the exterior space, allowing for ideal entertaining in the driveway for those late night jam sessions. For the flooring we used a pre-finished vinyl plank floor that really warmed the space up and provided the base for our garage transformation. The space no longer looked like it was just extra storage or that a car might find it’s way in. It now was shaping up to look like it always belonged as part of the home. In order to maximize the garage transformation even more, we added extra living space with an upstairs. Our design team used a simple but effective set of stairs, that matched the main homes interior stairs, to the unused attic space. We created a small 10′ x 23′ game room. Along each long wall are additional doors with even more storage. We found that when building the new space, hiding some of the musical instruments and equipment was going to be a must. These custom built hideaways were perfect.
