Small Kitchen Remodel with Big Storage Options

As the homeowner’s were approaching their 20 year anniversary, it was probably time for some changes to the kitchen. This project was supposed to be a small kitchen update, but it was a bit too small. For that reason, it turned into a whole kitchen remodel. We gutted it down to the studs and worked out way back. The main challenge our design team had for this space was overcoming its small size. The build team was held to the tight quarters, because of a load bearing structural wall. Leaving us with a kitchen that had both a small cooking area with zero entertaining space.

We designed a highly functional kitchen. Able to accommodate within it’s limited space, a variety of smart storage options. Some of the ideas we came up with included adding additional storage on the dining side, using shallow depth cabinets. This single adjustment almost doubled their available storage space. We also incorporated pull-out trays to maximize the cabinet space, and even added hidden sponge trays by the kitchen sink! The homeowners now have plenty of convenient space for fun new kitchen gadgets and a bar height entertaining area.

Some of our favorite products come from name brands such as Kohler.

“This “Simplice” kitchen faucet combines an elegant, universal design with exceptional ergonomics and functionality. The high-arch swing spout rotates 360 degrees, while the smoothly maneuvering sprayhead pulls down into the sink for up-close tasks, or out of the sink to fill pots.”
