Kitchen Updated Traditionally

This client had CQC Home do her bathroom remodel last year and came to us to have her kitchen and main floor remodeled and updated. Her existing kitchen was tight to work in and was not inviting to her. This was even more of an issue when it came time to entertain guests. Our client wanted her kitchen opened up more to the dining area. We were able to work with a design that incorporated her design challenge of a tight space to include her dining space and some of her foyer. We moved the refrigerator, which meant we needed to demo the built-in pantry. We also opened up the wall between the kitchen and dining area, and adding a new, much larger pantry in the front foyer area. The sink was moved to be under the window, overlooking the beautifully landscaped back yard. Adding a peninsula with glass cabinet doors and LED ribbon lighting on a dimmer switch provided both warmth and an open feel. With so many new cabinets, we used a pullout table for added prep space when baking with her grand children — a great added feature for this kitchen. All of these modifications allowed for additional storage and convenience for every day, practical use. This once-white, closed off kitchen is now inviting and really pulls you in with its rich cherry cabinets, matching the dining furniture and Tuscan style. Be sure to check out all those accessories!
