Kitchen Remodel with Island Seating for the Whole Family

Entertaining with Island Seating

When walls are coming down in any remodeling project – the changes will be dramatic. This whole house remodel didn’t let us down. It’s absolutely a stunning transformation, not one but three walls were taken out. It hardly even looks like the same home. We created a new kitchen design layout, to include plenty of cabinets for storage and island seating big enough for the entire family.

What was once a dark and closed in tight space, is now perfect for entertaining. With the help of the engineer, we were able to modify the walls using a column and beams in the ceiling. One of the key factors in the design was using both clean lines for a more transitional contemporary feel, but without losing the home’s charm. We were able to help achieve this goal by incorporating a farmhouse style to the entire space – from the rustic flooring, shaker cabinets that go all the way to the ceiling (for easier cleaning) to the aged metal iron light fixtures. We love how this remodel turned out and hope the homeowner’s enjoy it with their family for years to come.

Please use the windows as a reference (because they didn’t change) and see just how much this space opened up.
