Kitchen Remodel for an Engineer with a Glam Farmhouse Feel

When a homeowner, who happens to be an engineer, calls us for a kitchen remodel; has clearly done their homework, and knows what they want – the results are stunning. It was a new beginning for this family and their kitchen was literally just the beginning for this house. From start to finish, our design team was able to work along side the homeowner and make their vision come alive. Creating a layout that was consistent with the original layout, keeping costs in line with the budget. We were able to use high-end materials during the selections process to really shape the feel for the space to be a modern glamorous farmhouse.

For our field team this was quite the undertaking. The kitchen remodel included a complete demo from floor to ceiling, after all, it was getting new faux beams. Taking anything down to the studs and starting from scratch can be a messy ordeal. But, they sealed off the workspace from the rest of the house, using plastic temp walls with a zipper access to keep the dust controlled and to a minimum. Literally working from the ground up with new rustic flooring, custom Kraftmaid cabinetry, quartz countertops with a white farm sink. All the makings for a dream Pinterest worthy kitchen.

Project Specs:

  • Kraftmaid Putnam Aged River Rock & White Cabinetry
  • Spring Valley Quartz Counters
  • White Oak – “Chai” Finished Hardwood Flooring
  • Risinger Double Bowl Fireclay Farmsink in White
  • Vintage Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet in Oil-Rubbed Bronze
  • Custom Built Desk with Feature Wall in Cultured Stone in Winterhaven

The backsplash tiles were incredible. These photos don’t do it justice. A polished pearl in mosaic pattern, really set the stage for the feel of the space. We love using products with a lot of depth and texture, that adds layers to the kitchen remodel with a flair for glamour, while keeping the rustic farmhouse feel.
