Spacious Master Bathroom
Layout Renovation in Hope Valley
From Santa Fe to Hope Valley
The new homeowner’s had just purchased the house. It was in a dreamy location. Right on the pond, with immaculate walking trails, and those friendly neighbors – you know the ones. They wave hello to everyone who passes by. In contrast, something that wasn’t great was the master bathroom layout. It was right out of a Santa Fe “honey moon suite” hotel room. The bathroom had a lot of space, just an awkward layout. Something the homeowner’s knew was important to include in the new layout was a freestanding tub, a double vanity with lots of storage, a water closet room, and a large walk-in shower with a bench.

Layout Problem Solving to the Rescue
That was a tall order to say the least. We demoed the walls and were able to re-work the existing space well enough. A feature that we struggled to include in the new design was the tub. After a lot of consideration, the design team came up with an idea, put the tub inside the shower! The homeowner’s loved the idea. We were able to include all of the wish list items in this beautiful design.
We had three respected contractors meet with us to envision the work, as we wanted walls taken down, a master bed and bath reconfigured, a powder room added and a laundry room moved, and a kitchen that needed to be done. Ken Combs, the owner at CQC saw possibilities the other contractors did not and in a surprisingly short time had conceptualized the entire job and its parts in creative and effective ways.
