Kitchen Renovation in Hope Valley

Hope Valley

Kitchen Renovation

For this kitchen renovation, the homeowner’s were eager to get started. But, quickly realized that a lot of planning goes into just making something pretty! Our designer was able to collaborate together with the homeowners on several different floor plan variations. Finally, able to settle on opening up the dining walls and living room, giving us a knee wall. Ultimately, it was not having enough room was the main reason for even wanting to remodel the kitchen in the first place. The ability to open the walls allowed for the two eating areas to connect. Perfect for the non-stop lifestyle. Between the kids and dogs, this kitchen just needed more space!

The Process

Also included in some of the design features was making a more functional island. While seating was necessary, so was having a place to cook and be around the rest of the family. A really nice feature is the wall oven. Being that it is tucked away, out of sight, but it is so practical. Great for entertaining large groups or Thanksgiving dinner. This kitchen renovation really opens up well to the rest of the home and so is practical. Our designer heard the concerns; from the lack storage to just feeling cramped in when everyone was home. Now the space feels bright and open, while still being organized.

Be sure to check what your neighbors are doing – here is another kitchen space that used a drop-zone “cubby” system. These are becoming so popular all around town.
