Governor’s Club Screen Porch with All-Season Comfort

Governor’s Club Screen Porch with All-Season Comfort

For this project, we tackled a mountain. The house was literally built on boulders, but the views from the living room and kitchen were well worth the sweat. Working together closely with the homeowners to finalize a design. For this screen porch and deck we had to start from the ground up. Excavating boulders and creating footings that were extra stout, in fact some of the boulders were too big to excavate. Calling in our engineer, he was able to come up with some creative plans, using rebar to be integrated into the footings poured on top of them. It was incredible.

Space Added – 1800 square feet

The new deck and screen porch combined will add all of the additional square footage for large entertaining opportunities. We had a deadline for completion, just in time for their daughter’s wedding party to be held overlooking the mountains on this new deck.

A few of the Before and During photo shoot below show the sheer size of a project like this truly is.

This particular project was also a feature by Royal building products for their “Zuri” composite decking in their marketing ads. One of the greatest features that this product offers is a 25 year colorfastness warranty.
