A Kitchen Remodel with a Chef’s Touch
A Kitchen for a Chef
Not a typical experience for us, we were actually hired by the homeowner’s architect for this kitchen remodel. Working with a small brick split level ranch home built in the late sixties, the architect re-designed the kitchen layout to be more open and ideal for entertaining. The homeowner, a chef, wanted to be able to be with their guests while creating his masterpiece. Therefore, we had to take down the load-bearing walls in the sunroom. We added skylights for some natural lighting to open the space. We also added more windows and larger sliding doors to the patio off the same room. The kitchen now looked directly into the open sunroom area.
This large kitchen remodel has plenty of storage for small appliances and any kitchen gadget that a chef might need. We also used a more modern appliance package providing us with a more industrial kitchen vibe. This space now has plenty of entertaining and living space for years of enjoyment.
