Architect Addition & Remodel
for Kitchen and Exterior Living Expansion

Architect Addition & Remodel

Initially CQC home was hired by the architect for this addition, who was working directly with the family. The homeowner’s decided that this was going to be their forever home; for decades to come. Looking for an updated living space that was both functional and stylish, meant that they would also need more space. The goal for this design space was to have a larger kitchen, with an open concept for eating and entertaining. For this addition the kitchen tripled in size, adding even more square footage with a new screened porch. Nearly doubling this home’s living space.

For the kitchen, working together with the architect, our design team came up with a new layout. The homeowner’s wish list consisted of wanting a large island, at least 2 sinks in the space – to accommodate multiple cooks. A built-in breakfast nook for homework and family dinners was a must. A few things that our design was able to incorporate above and beyond achieving all of the wish-list items, was a mudroom with added built-in cubicles for the kids “drop zone”. We added a back home office space for mom and dad to use when working from home. We also were able to squeeze in a new laundry room.

The new space is now light, bright, and timeless!

Space Remodeled Including Addition: 986 square feet
