A New Home Office with Powder Bathroom Remodel

Designing a Home Office You’ll Actually Work In

After just purchasing a new home, the buyers wanted to remodel their kitchen. Making it more open to their living room, for optimal entertaining space. But in order to that… they would also need to modify their existing breakfast area. Our designers collaborated together transforming the old breakfast eating area into a home office. Eliminating the wall from the kitchen to the dining room. This helped to create the open feeling that they were seeking, while providing a useful space in the front of the house with a home office.

A few things that our designers highly recommend having.

  1. A window. A natural source of light can help with both your mood and the balance of a work shift.
  2. Easy access to a bathroom. Let’s be real – there isn’t ever a time when someone doesn’t need this!
  3. Enough storage. Having an organized workspace can improve productivity, making the best of your time.

Working from home offers many advantages including the flexibility of setting your own schedule, saving time, and gas money by eliminating your daily commute. In our “after floor plan”, you can see the that our designers closed off the front room. Creating the home office. This also allowed to adjust the main floor powder bathroom, to be slightly larger. We also created a much needed first floor laundry room and opened the kitchen floor plan to the main dining and living room. Want to see how the kitchen turned out? Check it out here.
