The last thing you want is a kitchen that quickly becomes outdated simply because you researched and based your remodeling decisions on a trend that was on the rise. When you begin to think of remodeling your kitchen, it’s best to keep two words in mind — timeless and transitional. Let’s highlight a fast-growing kitchen style trend that has distinct staying power. White-on-white is showing up in so many of our clientele’s kitchens. Every item ranging from cabinets, counter tops, back splashes and even appliances are getting the white carpet treatment.

Cabinets

White shaker door cabinets have become very popular and truly timeless. Some may beg to differ and say the shaker door style is more traditional than modern. Nonetheless, the characteristics of the clean simple lines and uncluttered appearance gives these cabinets a broader range of trends to fit into. In recent years National Kitchen and Bath Association members were asked for their top choice for cabinets. Sixty-seven percent of them choose white, and the percentage continues to climb.

Countertops

Caesarstone quartz countertops give a refined and distinctive look to any kitchen. While staying on the white-on-white trend, the alabaster with grey marbling gives you a perfect harmony of colors with a warm and lavish feel. Quartz has also been deemed the toughest countertop material. And it only gets better regarding care and maintenance of these striking countertops. The use of a damp cloth and mild household detergent will do the job.

Backsplashes

Even backsplash tile is converting into the contemporary trend of white-on-white. White tile is here to stay, and the only thing wavering is the pattern of the tile. Some popular choices include hexagon, herringbone and diamond. But as always, if you are unsure of what direction to go for your style of kitchen, we are here to help!

Appliances

Whirlpool’s White Ice collection is standing out as the first appliance line to contend against stainless steel. Contrary to popular belief, white appliances are much easier to keep clean compared to stainless steel. This collection’s glass-like, glossy sheen finish makes care easy and its durability is a sure thing. Also, consider adding a few counter-height/under-counter fridges to your kitchen space. A wine cooler for the adults and a soda/juice fridge for the kids will not only appeal to your guests, but will bring value to your home.
